Implement local and regional savings strategies that generate savings compared to managed expense.
Strategic Sourcing Methodology, SRM, Category Management, and Contract Management implementation where applicable.
1. Conducts industry and market (local) research and has a high degree of technical and commercial knowledge within a basic product (basic product group).
2. Evaluates in an accurate and timely manner the mechanical drawings to determine the correct supplier capability requirements by clearly identifying specifications including, but not limited to, material and tolerance attributes.
3. Performs costing and manages the request for quotation with the appropriate supplier to ensure Teleflex obtains competitive component (raw material) prices in a timely manner.
4. Works closely with the Finance department to obtain financial information, update CIPs in PlanView, define transfers, etc.
