About the Role
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Assist the Purchasing Manager/Buyer in sourcing and selecting products for retail stores
- Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies
- Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, product availability, and delivery schedules
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery of merchandise
- Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records
- Monitor stock levels and assist with reordering to prevent stockouts or overstocking
- Compare supplier prices and negotiate basic terms when required
- Coordinate with warehouse and store teams regarding deliveries and discrepancies
- Resolve issues related to damaged or incorrect shipments
- Support vendor performance evaluation and maintain supplier database
- Prepare purchasing reports and analyze basic sales and inventory data
