Project Cost Analyst

Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Project Controls Analyst / Cost Analyst to support financial operations for a large utility client. This role is accounting‑heavy and process‑driven, focused on cost tracking, accruals, forecasting, and financial compliance rather than schedule management. Responsibilities include:

Cost Accounting & Accruals: Perform monthly accruals, cost reconciliations, and variance analysis across a high volume of active projects
Budgeting & Forecasting: Support preparation and maintenance of project budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, ensuring alignment with actuals
Cost Tracking: Track actual costs, manage project authorizations, and monitor spend against budget using SAP and internal financial systems
Financial Reporting: Prepare recurring financial reports related to forecast accuracy, authorization usage, contingency tracking, and project aging
