The Project Accountant is responsible for the financial management and oversight of assigned civil engineering projects. This role partners closely with Project Managers to ensure accurate budgeting, billing, cost tracking, revenue recognition, and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle. The Project Accountant plays a critical role in maintaining project profitability, cash flow, and compliance with contractual requirements.

Responsibilities as a Project Accountant:

• Project Financial Management-
Set up new projects in the accounting system, including contract values, billing terms, and budgets
Monitor project budgets, costs, and revenue against forecasts
Review and track labor, consultant, and expense charges to ensure accuracy and allowability
