Position SummaryThe Programmer supports steel fabrication operations by developing, maintaining, and optimizing programming solutions that drive CNC machinery, fabrication equipment, and production systems. This role translates engineering drawings and production requirements into accurate, efficient programs to ensure quality, productivity, and safe operation across fabrication processes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, edit, and maintain programs for CNC equipment
- Translate engineering drawings, 3D models, and specifications into machine-ready programs
- Optimize programs to reduce cycle time, material waste, and setup time
- Coordinate with Engineering, Production, and Quality to resolve programming or manufacturing issues
