Production Editor (Photos)

Purpose of the Position: Reporting to the Photo Editor and his deputies, the production editor will coordinate with other team members on the field to edit photos sent by them to ensure the best selection can be used online and ensure they are used well and are accurately captioned.

He will work with the Photo Editor and his deputies to ensure the best photos are published online and in turn ensure a pipeline of photos is ready to be used for print later in the day.

In this role, you will:  Collaborate with desks across the newsroom to ensure the best digital photos are published online in a timely fashion Maintain close communication with desks and team leaders and reporters Help in archiving photos for future use Ensure captions are properly and accurately done.
