Process Engineer

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

1. Lead and execute experiments to identify key process variables using DOE type methodologies or other analytical methods.
2. Develop standard manufacturing best practices, parameters, process windows, and work instructions that improve the Samtec assembly process.
3. Use Six Sigma DMAIC process to determine root cause/solutions to process challenges.
4. Use statistical methods to conduct process capability studies to determine if process is meeting key process requirements.
5. Development process criteria to determine if raw cable design/process changes are ready for full volume production.
6. Provide general guidance, direction, and support to other engineering and operations teams that improves the assembly process.
7. Collect and interpret data from other technical and operating staff involved.
