About the Role

Summary
 /Objective:The Process Engineer evaluates existing processes and configures manufacturing systems to reduce cost, improve sustainability, improve Quality, and develop best practices within the production process. The main focus of the Process Engineer’s work is on maintaining reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs, and changeovers. Essential Functions/Responsibilities: Lead and execute experiments to identify key process variables using DOE type methodologies or other analytical methods.
Develop standard manufacturing best practices, parameters, process windows, and work instructions that improve the Samtec assembly process.
Use Six Sigma DMAIC process to determine root cause/solutions to process challenges.
Use statistical methods to conduct process capability studies to determine if process is meeting key process requirements.
