About the Role
Our client, a prominent player in the power distribution sector, is seeking a dynamic Primary Design Engineer with expertise in substation engineering to join their permanent team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to crucial infrastructure projects that support green investments and new technologies across the UK electricity market.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce a comprehensive suite of design drawings for Grid and Primary substations.
Prepare technical specifications for electrical plant and provide associated electrical designs for substation upgrades and new substation projects from 11kV up to 132kV.
Produce substation design feasibility reports, cost estimates, layouts, GAs, and plant specifications, including transformers, switchgear, and battery systems.
Review designs produced by suppliers and clients to ensure technical compliance with legislation and policies.
