Power Engineer (Penticton)

Responsibilities

Operate, monitor, and perform maintenance on all chillers, cooling towers, steam boilers, hot water boilers and their auxiliary and ancillary equipment, promptly respond to their alarms, troubleshoot, and fix or isolate issues. Work independently and exercise sound judgment during stressful times. Clean and maintain cooling towers, chiller tubes, and fire chambers of hot water and steam boilers. Perform maintenance on air compressors, air dryers, actuators, regulators, valves, and airlines as required. Act as first responder to fire alarms and other emergency codes, including fire alarm panels and related equipment upon the request of the Fire Marshall. Respond to elevator troubles, initiate elevator service for breakdowns and entrapments, and inform the Supervisor of any emergency service.
