Post-doctoral Research Fellow position at SR-Tiget

IRCCS San Raffaele Scientific Institute in Milan, Italy, is looking for a Post-doctoral Research Fellow to join the Gene Transfer into Stem Cells Unit led by Prof. Giuliana Ferrari at the San Raffaele-Telethon Institute for Gene Therapy (SR-Tiget), Milan, Italy, under the supervision of Dr. Annamaria Aprile, to work on hematopoietic stem cells and the bone marrow niche in hemoglobinopathies. The research activities of the laboratory integrate basic biology and translational research on hemoglobinopathies – beta-thalassemia and sickle cell disease – aimed at: i) optimizing gene therapy protocols; ii) understanding the pathophysiological mechanisms with a focus on hematopoietic stem cells and the bone marrow niche; iii) developing targeting strategies to restore a functional hematopoiesis.
