Piping Engineer – Job DescriptionRole Overview
The Piping Engineer is responsible for the design, coordination, and technical oversight of all piping systems within the project lifecycle. This includes ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry codes, and safety standards from design through construction, testing, and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review piping designs, layouts, and drawings including P&IDs, isometrics, general arrangements (GA), and support drawings.
- Ensure all piping designs align with project specifications, applicable codes (ASME, API, ANSI), and client requirements.
- Prepare Material Take-Offs (MTOs) and support procurement activities for piping materials and components.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams (Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation) to resolve design conflicts.
