Payroll Supervisor

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Supervisor oversees the unionized payroll team responsible for the accurate, timely, and compliant delivery of full-cycle bi-weekly payroll for Seaspan Shipyards’ hourly unionized employees. This role provides day‑to‑day leadership, guidance, and oversight to Payroll Clerks and Timekeepers, ensuring payroll processing, reconciliations, remittances, and reporting activities are completed in accordance with company policies, collective agreements, and legislative requirements.

The Payroll Supervisor also supports continuous improvement initiatives, payroll system enhancements, stakeholder collaboration, and regulatory compliance activities, while serving as a backup to the Payroll Manager as required.

Note: This position qualifies for an optional hybrid work schedule after 90 days of onsite work and onboarding. Employee will be subject to the terms of the Flexible Work Policy Agreement
