About the Role

Responsibilities



  • Maintains all employee payroll information to ensure it is current and accurate.

  • Works in conjunction with the appropriate resources to process new hires, employee changes, terminations, and transfers of hourly craft employees.

  • Prepares and processes in‑house weekly multi‑provincial (including Quebec) payroll for hourly craft employees.

  • Understands and interprets government legislation and collective bargaining agreements to ensure compliance with pay, deductions, benefits, taxes, and documentation requirements.

  • Maintains all aspects of district payroll system setup, where required.

  • Reconciles and remits all company and union benefit liabilities, including but not limited to WCB, CRA, and provincial health.

  • Reconciles and prepares payroll year‑end reporting for hourly craft employees, including T4s Relevé 1s, and T2200s.
