About the Role

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Packaging Engineer will develop and approve packaging for new product development and existing process improvements. This role will support packaging requirements from suppliers to customer delivery. The packaging engineer works closely with multiple cross functional teams to develop cost effective and sustainable solutions to optimize process flow and quality. 
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Set requirements for packaging in new product and process development to support packaging strategic objectives.
Design and test packaging to protect inbound, internal and outbound parts/product from shipping and handling damage. 
Design containers to support supply chain, material flow and line presentation with lean manufacturing process flow objectives. 
Procure packaging solutions for new product development projects that meet quality, cost and schedule requirements.
