About the Role
Sciemetric seeks a Hardware Engineer to join our embedded products team in Ottawa, focusing on the design and development of industrial instrumentation.
Ideal for both new graduates and seasoned professionals, this in-office role will involve designing industrial measurement systems and supporting hardware manufacturing efforts. You will be responsible for FPGA logic development and schematic capture, contributing directly to products deployed by top global manufacturers.
Key Responsibilities: • Design and develop Layer 2 / Layer 1 measurement systems • Create FPGA logic designs with Verilog and VHDL • Handle electronics component management and BOM • Ensure PCB layout and routing accuracy • Oversee compliance and product certification efforts
Requirements: • B.Sc. in Electronics or similar discipline • Proven design portfolio required • Experience with industrial controls and FPGA • Skills in mixed-signal design • Proficient in using debugging equipment
