Oracle Database Engineer

Overview

The Oracle Database Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day operational aspects of database administration to meet the business needs and service level for database in On-Prem & Cloud/ Azure covering ORACLE (11g,12c,19c) including RAC & Non-RAC plus plus another database language e.g. MSSQL/ SQLMI /MYSQL /POSTGRES /Mongo including cluster.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd level operational database support on functions associated with maintenance of Oracle Server databases plus MSSQL/SQLMI/MYSQL/POSTGRES/Mongo cluster/standalone onprem /cloud including administration, performance, security &hardening, back-up, dataguard configuration and maintenance, reporting, and recovery procedures.
• Assist and respond promptly to incident, investigate & provide permanent resolution of incidents escalated.
• Manage database changes through change request process & provide status reports to the relevant parties.
