Job Description
As a Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless patient experience by greeting and rooming patients, verifying their demographics and insurance details, and documenting their medical and ocular histories. You will perform non-invasive ophthalmic pre-testing and assist with various diagnostic procedures, ensuring that all results and documentation are accurately entered into the electronic health record (EHR).
Responsibilities
+ Greet and room patients; verify demographics, insurance details, and chief complaints.
+ Obtain and document patient medical/ocular history, medications list (verification only), allergies, and reason for visit in the EHR.
