The Bench Assistant – Open Cut supports the delivery of bulk explosive services to customers safely and environmentally. Performs loading, tying, and firing blasts under direction of Shotfirer or On Bench Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain safety of self, colleagues, customers, public, and environment.
- Deliver operational services in line with client specifications.
- Report all incidents and accidents immediately.
- Participate in daily Toolbox talks and Monthly Safety Meetings.
- Complete all necessary operational, SHEC, and site‑specific training.
- Maintain personal training records per Orica training Matrix.
- Uphold housekeeping standards.
- Notify site management of any variations in product specification, appearance or performance.
