Unit Summary
The Neurosurgery/Spine Program provides care for patients with spinal disorders throughout the continuum of care – both pre-operatively and post operatively on an Inpatient Spine unit. The spine patient population requires inpatient and outpatient clinical nursing expertise to support their continuum of care needs and monitor outcomes. Program development, research and education are significant requirements of the nursing role to support future development, scientific inquiry and evidence informed practice across this patient population's continuum of care.
Position Summary
The Nurse Practitioner (Adult) will provide focused, holistic clinical care in the inpatient and outpatient settings to patients with spinal conditions, such as neoplasms, Traumatic brain and spinal cord injury, cerebral and spinal hemorrhage and infection.
