Nuclear Medicine Physicist

We are seeking an enthusiastic clinical scientist to work within the Nuclear Medicine Physics section, including acting as a Medical Physics Expert and Radioactive Waste Adviser, undertaking equipment quality assurance, administration of radiopharmaceuticals for thyrotoxicosis, optimisation of image quality, teaching and training. The post-holder will also work with technologists and clinicians to support service developments.
The Nuclear Medicine imaging service for UHNM has three gamma cameras (2 with SPECT-CT) alongside radiopharmacy in a modern PFI hospital build; and a PET CT scanner purchased in collaboration with Keele University. Nuclear Medicine Physics is part of the Radiology Physics section of Medical Physics which provides wide-ranging scientific and technical support at this Trust and at neighbouring hospitals...
