About the Role

Piper Companies is seeking a Network Security Engineer to join us in Mclean, Va. The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for providing architectural, technical, and problem resolution support for a federal agency network and security infrastructure. 
Responsibilities of the Network Security Engineer Consultant include:
Understand the customer environment, requirements, and security roadmap to implement the appropriate security solution
Design, implementation, operations, troubleshooting, and resolution across multiple network domains
Optimize the overall network security infrastructure with Palo Alto equipment 
Test and validate the network security environment
Participate in system upgrades, deployments, and enhancements 
Work extensively with Palo Alto Prisma Access, Firewalls, and global protect 
Facilitate the development of new application and threat signatures
