About the Role

Major/Essential Functions
Provide patient care management in collaboration with attending physicians in a Level-III NICU at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, Texas.
Educate, counsel, and support families by explaining diagnoses, treatment plans, and prognoses, while guiding them through discharge planning and ongoing care needs.
Perform advanced neonatal procedures such as intubation, umbilical and central line placement, chest tube insertion, and neonatal resuscitation.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, lab results, and imaging to inform treatment decisions.
Prescribe medications to treat a variety of newborn conditions, including prematurity, congenital heart defects, respiratory distress, and chromosomal abnormalities.
Coordinate and manage safe discharge planning and follow-up care.
Attend high-risk deliveries
Attend transports for high acuity patients.
