Medical Coding Specialist

Job Description

Position Summary:

The Medical Coding Specialist will be responsible for meticulously reviewing medical record documentation and accurately assigning ICD-10-CM, ICD-10/PCS, and CPT IV codes, based on payor classification. This position will ensure data abstracted from each case is in compliance with federal regulations, ensuring the smooth operation of our coding systems and accurate reporting of patient information. This role requires strict adherence to Official Coding and Reporting Guidelines, AHIMA Coding Ethics, AHA Coding Clinics, CMS directives and bulletins, and Fiscal intermediary communications.
