About the Role
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid certification such as AHIMA CCS, RHIT, RHIA, or an AAPC credential relevant to the patient type.
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or a related Allied Health field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in medical record coding within an acute care setting, along with at least 3 years of experience in training medical coders.
- Preferably certified as an AHIMA-Approved ICD-10-CM/PCS Trainer or an AAPC Certified Instructor.
- Willingness to work onsite is essential.
Additional Skills:
- Proficient in delivering training to adult learners, with sensitivity to the cultural diversity of training groups.
