About the Role
Join the University of Calgary as a sessional instructor for ENME 473 in the upcoming Fall 2026 term. This role emphasizes teaching fundamental principles of mechanisms in engineering.
The Schulich School of Engineering is seeking a sessional instructor for the ENME 473 course. To qualify, candidates must have a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a thorough understanding of kinematics and dynamics. Strong teaching performance or the potential for excellence in teaching is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach and lecture on basics of mechanism design
• Explain kinematics, kinetics, and cam design concepts
• Organize classroom instruction and materials
• Assess and support student learning through assignments
• Conduct discussions regarding planetary gear trains
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required
• Previous experience or high potential in teaching
• Strong grasp of mechanical engineering fundamentals
