Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

This position is responsible for the mechanical equipment packages in Projects related to copper processing and mining Plants (Concentrators, Leaching, SX/EW TruckShop Plants, Tailings Handling Plants, Process Water Plants/Desalination Plants for Mining, etc.) with the ability to coordinate, develop and lead meetings with other Bechtel disciplines and areas, Customer and Vendors; to determine the scope of work, technical and design definitions, in addition to quantity and cost estimates for the mechanical aspects of a project scope. Must have the necessary knowledge for the execution and review of engineering design, development, modification and/or evaluation of mechanical components and processes and interrelation with other disciplines. Their recommendations will solve technical problems and ensure that the unique and complex requirements of the mechanical aspects of a project are met.
