Mechanical Engineer

BASIC FUNCTION Reports to the Engineering Manager, performs a variety of engineering work related to lapping processes and machines, including machine and tooling design/modification, research and product development/evaluation and equipment order review.

PRIMARY DUTIES Works with internal & external customers to create designs that focus on functionality (assembly, operation, and maintenance), cost, and appearance.

Using established methods produces or modifies layout and detail drawings for a variety of machines, components, and process tooling.

Designs or modifies electrical and pneumatic diagrams for machines and tooling.

Completes other externally and internally driven engineering projects including tooling quotes, equipment order reviews, product evaluations, and facility layouts.

Ensures all drawings and diagrams are updated to reflect the latest design changes.
