About the Role

Position Description:
Perform major and minor service and repairs and maintenance on all County vehicles and equipment at the garage or on-site as required.
Service, maintain, diagnose, repair, drive and operate all Norfolk County fleet vehicles and equipment, including, but not limited to, backhoes, loaders, road graders, fire apparatus, ambulances/stretchers, single and tandem axle trucks, and pick-up trucks.
Travel to various locations to perform service calls and determine problems with breakdowns.
Provide specific list of parts required to be purchased in order to complete assigned work orders.
Respond to after-hours service calls as required.
Complete all required paperwork and reports including work orders, daily logbooks, and other documentation required by the Ministry of Transportation.
Perform Ministry of Transportation safety inspections and reports on required equipment.
