Lead the process of working with outside suppliers and manage personnel in the Manufacturing Engineering Function related to departmental activities and performance standards. Lead the activities for the manufacturing department including budgeting, resource planning, project management activities, and peer reviews for the purchase and implementation of integrated manufacturing assembly or fabrication processes in a manufacturing plant using Design for Assembly (DFA) & Design for manufacturability (DFM) methods. Identify opportunities for Continuous process improvement through deployment of 5S, Kaizen, Error Proofing and Value Stream Mapping to review manufacturing processes to eliminate waste, improve quality, and reduce production time and cost. Provide technical inputs and direction for Manufacturing, and lead change management initiatives.
