MANDARIN OPI INTERPRETERS - Remote
Due to our recent expansion, 911 Interpreters is seeking to engage services of Mandarin interpreters for our on-demand platform.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education
- Medical Interpreter Certificate is preferred
- Medical/Legal/Educational interpretation experience preferred
- 1 Year of interpretation experience is preferred
- HIPPA certification preferred
Responsibilities:
- Translate a question or request clearly and accurately, conveying phrasing and intention as it relates to the subject.
- Convert dialogue and convey the intent of the original speaker, understanding that many idioms and slang terms do not translate exactly between languages.
- Assimilating words quickly, including jargons and acronyms
- Building up specialized vocabulary banks
- Writing notes to aid memory
