About the Role
JOB SUMMARY
Under immediate supervision, working from blueprints, sketches, verbal and/or written specifications, operates manual or numerically controlled machine tools to perform standard sequences of operations. Sets up manual machines where speeds feeds and sequence of tooling operations are ordinarily prescribed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
+ Sets up manual machines where speeds feeds and sequence of tooling operations are ordinarily prescribed
+ Operates numerically controlled machines where programs are proved.
+ Sets up and operates other manual machines in the work area and maintains tolerances by adjusting as necessary.
+ Is responsible for inspecting the work to ensure it meets basic quality requirements.
+ Can perform detailed sub-assembly functions for certain products.
+ Operates automatic welding equipment.
+ Uses required shop measuring devices.
