The Pasqual Maragall Foundation was created in 2008 with the mission of promoting and developing excellent biomedical research. The Foundation is fully committed to being a decisive player in the search for global solutions to the problem of Alzheimer’s and other related dementias, as well as raising awareness so that scientific support for these challenges receives the priority it deserves. The Foundation's research is carried out at the Barcelona Oeta Brain Research Center (BBRC), a research center established with the participation of Pompeu Fabra University and la Caixa.
