Locum Infection Control / Microbiology Consultant Needed In London

This is an ongoing locum role, 3 months in the first instance.

• 10PA’s, Mon – Fri, onsite 
• 1 in 6 Saturday morning cover 
• 1 in 3 out of hours oncall – 2nd Consultant

Duties will involve:

▪ Liaison with clinicians, hospital and community staff and GPs concerning the

diagnosis and management of patients and prevention of infection.

▪ Daily ward rounds of referred and follow up cases, or patients in whom laboratory

or clinical information is considered to require medical Microbiology, or control of

infection, assistance or intervention.

▪ A daily round (Monday -Saturday) of all adult ITU patients with ITU medical staff.

▪ Maintain liaison meetings with Infection Prevention & Control staff.

▪ Maintain as required liaison with OPAT team and TB lead.

▪ Attendance at relevant MDTs when requested.
