The position holder will support scientists in planning and execution of experimental protocols and performance trials, data capture, report writing, procurement of farm inputs and labor management for various projects that are implemented by program.

Duties and responsibilities

• Plan and execute experimental protocols and performance trials in field for sorghum, pearl millet, finger millet, groundnuts, chickpea and pigeonpea.
• Operate research equipment, taking notes, entering data with internal IT systems and complying with seed stewardship standards
• Capture data in iOS operating systems (desktop computing, iPhones, iPads), Breeding Management System (BMS) and conduct data quality check and assurance to enable timely advancement of the 6 mandate crops.
• Conduct data quality check and assurance to enable timely development of project reports, and scaling of selected technologies to the last mile.
