About the Role
Job Summary
The Lead for Backup & Storage oversees the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise data storage and recovery systems. You will lead a team of engineers to ensure data integrity, manage high-capacity storage arrays (SAN/NAS), and execute disaster recovery (DR) strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Strategy: Design and architect scalable enterprise storage solutions (e.g., NetApp, Dell EMC, Pure Storage) and backup frameworks (e.g., Veeam, Commvault, Veritas NetBackup).
- Team Leadership: Act as a technical mentor and Line Manager lite; managing shift schedules, conducting performance reviews, and overseeing the technical growth of junior sysadmins.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor storage utilization, perform capacity planning, and tune backup windows to ensure zero impact on production environments.
