The Medical Ambulatory and Gastroenterology & Hepatology clinics within SHC is currently recruiting a casual Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Reporting to the Unit Manager of Medical Ambulatory and GI/Hepatology clinics, the LPN is responsible for the coordination of patients attending various clinics at SHC. Specifically, within Medical Ambulatory and GI/Hepatology the LPN is required to: Work collaboratively with all members of the interdisciplinary team. Demonstrate clear and effective communication between team members and with patients and families. Perform intake for patients including vital signs, height, weight and medication reconciliation. Demonstrate efficiency and organization in assigning patients to clinic rooms. In addition to these tasks the LPN will be required to assist with various tests and procedures in the GI/Hepatology department.
