Learning Support Assistant – permanent position

Secondary SEN School – Emsworth, Havant

Academics are recruiting on behalf of a specialist secondary school in Emsworth, Hampshire which caters for around 100 pupils who require a personalised curriculum to meet their moderate learning needs, physical, sensory and language challenges and who may be on the Autism Spectrum.

The school is looking to appoint an experienced and engaging Learning Support Assistant. This is a full-time, permanent contract, starting ASAP or in September. The starting salary is 17,915 (actual), 25,186 (FTE) – Grade C, step 1. Working hours are 8:45 am – 3 pm, term time.

Due to the needs of the pupils, this role is ideal for a Learning Support Assistant with previous SEN experience, or a willingness to work with children with special educational needs. You must have recent experience of supporting children in a school or care setting.
