Learning Support Assistant (LASA)
Location: Dunstable (initially) → Pulloxhill (new school site)
Salary: £19,399 - £27,447
Hours: Mon‑Fri, 9.00am‑4.00pm (2.45pm finish Fridays)
Contract: Permanent (temp‑to‑perm considered)
Start Date: Immediate or delayed start for the right candidate
We are recruiting a Learning and Support Assistant to join a specialist SEMH school for children aged 5‑11. The role will be based at a satellite site in Dunstable for approximately 9 months, before moving to a brand‑new purpose‑built school in Pulloxhill.
The Role
- Support teachers with whole‑class learning
- Work 1:1 or in small groups to support behaviour and social development
- Help create a positive, calm, and engaging classroom environment
- Contribute your own skills and interests to enrich learning
The Ideal Candidate
- GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
