Lead Back-End Developer

Job Description

Insight Global is hiring a Lead Backend Developer for a 1‑year remote contract (must work hours). This person will spend most of their time building and maintaining the behind‑the‑scenes systems that make apps work, using Python on AWS (the online platform where the app runs and stores data). They will also create and update APIs so different systems can talk to each other, fix issues to keep systems from breaking or slowing down, and make improvements as projects evolve. Outside of coding, they’ll join sprint and planning meetings, work closely with product managers, frontend developers, and vendors, and help guide or mentor other developers. The manager is looking for someone senior who can work independently, work in a fast-moving environment, take ownership of backend work across multiple projects, and clearly understand what they’re building. This is a 1 year ongoing contract and pays $35-40 hr.
