Laboratory Technologist I

Under the direction of the Laboratory Manager and Clinical Supervisor, through collaboration, consultation, and a team oriented approach, the Laboratory Technologist is responsible for: analyzing specimens and validating results by operating various types of automated equipment and or manual methods; ensuring accuracy of patient information and processing specimens; ensuring accuracy of results by participating in internal and external quality control programs; maintain and troubleshoot a variety of instruments by following established procedures to ensure optimal function of laboratory equipment; understand and maintain a working knowledge of all analytical techniques.
