Role & responsibilities

To be responsible for adequate well trained staff available for the laboratory functions in all departments based on the scope of tests, complexity of tests and volume of work in the department • To guide the staff in trouble shooting in case of Instrument breakdown • To ensure that expired material is not in stock or in use. • To ensure all department staff has adequate resources to perform various aspects of work required • To identify need for adding new tests in scope • To actively participate in monthly QC review, internal audits & external audits • To manage daily (including Sunday) staff roster • To handle difficult blood collections and front office queries regarding tests • To check overall QC review, trouble shooting, root cause analysis, CA, PA • To follow-up on STAT reporting of all departments • To provide backup support in Phlebotomy, Accession and First Review of results • To check cr...
