Reporting directly to the school Principal, the Elementary School Teacher responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans with clear objectives that follow Ontario curriculum standards and beyond.
• Prepare long-range plans, unit plans, and homework materials.
• Teach a full range of subject areas, including English (reading, writing, and oral communication), Mathematics, Science and Technology, Social Studies, and Islamic Education.
• Supervise students during classes and at other times during the school day, including breaks.
• Attend staff meetings.
• Discuss students’ progress and concerns with parents and administrators.
• Prepare for and attend parent-teacher interviews and other functions, including extracurricular activities.
