Are you a motivated Mechatronics Engineer ready to support the development and operation of motion and sensing systems for Beam Intercepting Devices (BIDs) across CERN's accelerator facilities? This role bridges operational support and R&D, focusing on sensor evaluation, experimental instrumentation, and motion system development. You will contribute to the performance, reliability, and precision of critical accelerator components by integrating mechatronic and software control aspects into robust, maintainable systems.

Your responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain motion and sensing systems used for the control of Beam Intercepting Devices in accelerator environments.
• Design and integrate control algorithms for electric motors, actuators, and sensor feedback loops to achieve precise motion and positioning.
