Job Overview

The Junior Machinist/ Junior Lab Technician, Lab is responsible for performing machine operations to provide Testing laboratory and weld test services for the CWB Group. This role may be fulfilled by any combination of the below duties and responsibilities and corresponding qualifications to fulfill specific functions within the Weld test shop.

Laboratory

• Assist Senior Technician with day-to-day lab and shop activities.
• Operate basic machinery including milling machines, horizontal and vertical band saws, and angle grinders (training provided as needed).
• Process test plate orders according to internal procedures and specifications.
• Maintain accurate log sheets and job records.
• Handle shipping and receiving materials and samples.
• Prepare materials and components for testing.
