Java Software Engineer

Overview
Our client is hiring a backend engineer to support the development and upkeep of fintech backend application, working closely with teams across their technical stack.
Responsibilities
Enhance system components within financial/blockchain platforms to meet strict performance and reliability standards
Produce clean, well‑structured code following solid engineering practices
Handle production issues promptly and coordinate fixes with relevant teams
Operate effectively in a fast‑moving, startup‑style environment
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science or related field
Strong problem‑solving ability; able to work independently and collaboratively
Positive learning attitude and adaptability
Understanding of HTTP, WebSocket, and TCP/IP
Experience with Java
Skilled in PostgreSQL and SQL optimization
Experience building microservices and APIs
Bonus: Redis, Kafka, AWS, Atlassian tools (JIRA/Confluence), Kubernetes
