Responsibilities

• Collaborate with planning and inventory management teams, and a technical team of data engineers and scientists, to build tools and scripts that support spare parts demand management.
• Assist in migrating Synapse PySpark notebooks to Databricks notebooks, refactoring code into reusable, modular functions, and parameterising notebooks using dbutils.
• Validate and test data outputs between Synapse and Databricks; translate Synapse SQL views to Databricks SQL.
• Perform data‑quality checks, monitoring, and optimisation of data engineering pipelines.
• Develop SQL scripts to create views and external tables using Databricks SQL.
• Maintain pipeline documentation and data flow diagrams.
