Tests and repairs instrumentation systems utilized by equipment to ensure adherence to established performance levels and product quality. Evaluates instruments to establish plans for repair. Documents and verifies problems and actions taken.
Responsibilities
Major Job Activities • Inspects, tests, adjusts, and repairs electric, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments and systems used to indicate, record, and control Desal / Water plant operations. • Inspects meters, indicators, and gauges to detect abnormal fluctuations. Tests accuracy of flowmeters, pressure gauges, temperature indicators and controllers to locate defective components in system using test equipment such as ammeters and voltmeters. • Traces out and tests electronic equipment such as VFD’s and SCADA systems to locate defective parts in analog and digital systems using test equipment, schematics, and maintenance manual...
