We are seeking for April 1st 2026 or by appointment. 1-year position, with the possibility of prolongation.
The Experimental Animal Center (EAC) is the structural unit of the University of Bern carrying the responsibility for in‑vivo research. In its multispecies, decentralized animal facilities, the EAC aims at providing state‑of‑the‑art use and care of the animal programs. The 3Rs (Reduce, Refine, Replace), the “culture of care” and compliance to guidelines and regulations are cornerstones of the EAC strategy.
Areas of responsibility
- Managing the infrastructure and equipment of the animal facilities to comply with internal, national and international guidelines.
- Maintaining inventory, equipment, facility set‑up and records relating to operations, ensuring proper functioning of facility equipment, and coordinating equipment repair and maintenance key contact with providers.
