Industrial Refrigeration Engineer (Mechanical Engineer)

Position Overview

Startec Refrigeration Service is recruiting an Industrial Refrigeration Engineer to work remotely from within Canada, with the expectation for multiple trips to Calgary. The role reports to the Director of Engineering and provides engineering and technical support to the Service department, sales, and directly to customers, acting as liaison between Service and the engineering group in the compression and process division.

Key Performance Indicators

System Design & Engineering

• Develop PID drawings, piping drawings, general arrangement drawings, layout drawings, vessel drawings, bridle drawings, etc.
• Prepare project documentation including operating/control descriptions.
• Responsible for refrigeration system design, working with clients and owners to define design requirements for each system.
• Complete heat load calculations to size systems.
